About

Photographs preserve the details. Research gives them context.

Songfa · 松松發文物君 is an independent cultural heritage archive created by 黄松涛（松松發文物君） / Huang Songtao, a photographer and writer on material culture. It brings together original photographs of museum objects with observations on their forms, decoration and historical context.

Each object has its own record. Images and texts are selected and checked individually, with a clear distinction between recorded facts, visual observations and scholarly interpretations. Missing details are left unrecorded.

Open images. Traceable sources.

Photographs carry their own credit and license link. References accompany each record for further reading. This is an independent personal project, unaffiliated with the institutions holding the objects.
